architecture that
starts with you
Adam founded this Melbourne studio around a simple belief: good architecture starts with the people who live in it. Specialising in residential alterations, additions, and new builds, our approach is collaborative and the thinking is practical, finding the precise point where good design meets real life.
where good design
meets real life
We design homes with character. Places that connect people to where they live. We take the time to understand you and your home, so we can guide you to the right option with confidence. From first idea to finished build, we see it through.
our approach
is collaborative
We're a small architecture practice based in Melbourne's northern suburbs. Every project starts with the connection between people and place, and is built on close collaboration from the first idea through to the finished result. We test and push concepts through exploratory models, giving you a clear and confident path forward. The outcome is practical architecture, tailored to your needs, your budget and your dreams — one of a kind, because you are.
our service
is personal
At the start of every project, we take the time to listen to your story and your connection to home. We talk through your needs, goals, budget and timeframe in detail, working through any concerns so you can make informed decisions from day one. This forms the foundation of the project, and how we find the best value for your budget.
We tell you what's possible on your site early, and relate design options to realistic costs, so you can set a budget with confidence.
our thinking
is practical
Our design thinking is focused on practical, functional and cost effective solutions tailored to you. We draw on our experience in residential design and small sized projects to create unique designs that benefit from their context, be it personal, social, cultural, historical and physical surroundings. Sustainable design informs our projects from the outset, with passive energy efficiency, thermal comfort and considered material choices.
hello, I’m adam
Adam has over 15 years experience working in architecture and construction, with over 10 years specialising in small size projects, renovations, extensions and heritage buildings. He is a registered architect with ARBV Architects Registration Board of Victoria and member of ArchiTeam an organisation for small architecture practices. Adam is a husband, father of two children, soccer coach of child’s team, and lives and works in Melbourne’s northern suburbs.
Adam believes that personal experience with your designer creates the special character of home designs, which is why all projects work directly with Adam at all stages. He values teamwork, empathy, relationships, clear communication and a client driven process with open dialogue. Essential to each project is a carefully considered brief, budget, scope and expectations by all involved in the team. Adam values lasting relationships with the people he works with and similarly he values connections between people and their homes.

nice to hear
Adam has been a pleasure to work with whilst designing our house extension and renovation. Adam’s service has been absolutely gold standard. We did not know Adam before engaging him and we are so thankful we did. Adam listens to what you want and integrates how you live with his building designs. He walked us through the whole process with a genuinely warm and friendly manner. Adam was super easy to work with. He worked diligently and thoughtfully through a complicated design request from us and we are delighted with what he has created. He took time to genuinely understand us and the vision we had for our home. His knowledge, patience and attention to detail in the design phase has meant no regrets later on. Adam has been a great friend during our project. More than design he has our interests at heart and certainly is on our team. If you want a complete package to honestly guide you through the process, speak to Adam.
